I joined this forum two years ago and while I haven't been active on here, I have been enjoying Elaine's music almost non-stop since discovering her.  Sometimes I tend to get a little forgetful about forums.   Embarrassed

Anyway, when I was first on here, I asked if it was possible to get an autographed photo of Elaine and someone replied that it was.  I have tried searching for that thread all over this forum and can't find it anywhere.  It was from 2010 so maybe it was deleted.

I was wondering if someone could give me the address again.  I think it had "The Works" in it.  I've found a few different addresses online and am not sure which one is correct.

Also, I haven't written many fan letters in my life.  Should I include a self-addressed stamped envelope and print out a photo of her to send? I'm in the USA, so I'm not sure how to include the stamped envelope.  Should I ask the post office to put British postage on it if that's possible?

Also, my printer's color is poor and I don't yet have anything to print.  Do they provide a photo if you don't include one?

If anyone could answer these questions, I'd really appreciate it! I'm working on the fan letter and it is challenging.  I don't want to ramble on or sound silly.  Maybe I should have written more of them when I was younger!

Thanks for reading this and I apologize if it's in the wrong spot.  I just guessed this might be the appropriate place for it.

Some threads have been deleted. If you just want an autographed picture some are for slale on eBay. If you want it personalized that's another story. If you haven't been following things for awhile, she will be doing multiple concerts in the US this Spring. Cal., Ari, NJ, maybe Chicago or the vicinity. Many things have been thrown out there and not all confirmed as yet. Hope this helps. If you can get to a concert you can get one signed for you in person.

Yes, I wanted one just with my name on it.  Smiley

Gulp, I haven't been keeping up with things like I should be, although I do follow her Facebook page.  Maybe I missed some updates.

So writing to her agency probably wouldn't work since she'll be on the road, right? I'm not sure if I'll be able to attend anything until I see what cities she's in.

How does it work at a concert? Do you just get in line with your photo? It would be great to see her sing in person.

Hi Baroness.

The website address mentioned is no longer valid unfortunately, but you could try sending a message to either Radio 2 via EP's showpage website, Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login as they send out BBC Radio 2 press cards that can be autographed, failing that send the Forum Administrator a message and he may be able to help you.
As far as postage stamps are concerned I am not sure that you can use US postage stamps to post from the UK, so you would have to enquire about getting UK stamps for your self adddressed return envelope.

Hope this helps. Smiley

Thanks, Mandy! So possibly the BBC site would provide the photo and she'd autograph it? Because the color on my printer is crummy and anything I'd print wouldn't be a very nice photo.

I was planning a trip to the PO this week to ask them how to handle the postage issue.

I tried emailing management@elainepaige.com.  Do you think contacting the forum admin would be a better idea? I have no idea who that is, so I'll have to search.

Sorry for being such an obvious newbie to all of this.  I feel silly.

The email address you mentioned should be fine as I think they all go to the same mailbox.
As far as the postage, try contacting Radio 2 to see if they require return postage, it may save you some bother. Or the other option is to buy the UK postage stamps online and have them sent to you. Try ebay or Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login

OK, sounds good, Mandy.  Thank you for the link for the postage too.  I emailed the BBC station and asked about postage and photos.

Let's keep our fingers crossed that I hear something back!

(Can you believe the only fan letters I've written in my life were to NASA when I was a kid? I would write them asking for photos of different astronauts and they would always send me them, sometimes even autographed.  But I'd say astronauts are not as in demand as Elaine!)

Thanks, Joanmarie! That looks like an option if Los Angeles doesn't pan out.  I still can't find anything that says where she will be performing in Los Angeles on 2/23.  My husband is willing to go though, which is a relief because he is not a Broadway/West End fan.

More than anything, I want to know how people get to meet her.  Is there some kind of receiving line or something? Do you have to buy premium tickets and sit up front to get the chance? All I know is that even with front-row seats to a Stevie Nicks concert, I just got to shake her hand.  You needed special passes to go backstage to even talk to her for a second.   Cry

Some concerts have Meet and Greets for which you can pay a hefty price for the privilege of a few words in a room full of other folks waiting for the same opportunity.

The cheap way is to hope that there is a stage door that you can go to after the concert and wait for her to come out. There is no guarantee on this option however. If she does though she will sign pictures etc. depending on time, weather, and how she is feeling.

Charlene and Hope - what kind of hefty price are we talking about? $500 a person or something?

Knowing my luck, I would wait outside the door and no one would come out.   Undecided

I still haven't heard anything from the BBC or the contact person for this forum about an address for her.  Does she have an agency? When I was looking for her address, I came across a site that listed famous people and their agencies where you could write them at.

The price in Atlantic City was $250. The concerts in UK last year were a bit over $100 I think plus the ticket. I may be way off but I do know ATC was $250.

Re: UK postage from the U.S. -- you need to get international reply coupons from the U.S. post office. You send those in in the envelope in place of stamps, and they can turn them in for postage. Hope that helps on that end.

Hmm, I might pay $250 to get to meet her.  It would be one of those moments of a lifetime that you don't forget. I'm thinking the Los Angeles concert will be the one we'll go to.  I can't imagine getting to see EP live!

I've had zero luck on the response front as far as where to send a letter.  None of the three places I emailed responded.  Maybe I'll just try sending a letter to the BBC address and hope for the best.

The BBC is a very large corporation so give it some time as far as a response is concerned, plus EP is only there for her radio show.

Not all concerts have meet and greets, they are usually organised by the individual venues. You may be lucky with the LA concert, but you would need to check with them when booking your ticket.
