Thought I would give a quick synopsis of last night for those who were unable to attend. It was a beautiful evening, in a fantastic venue albeit a bit echoey. Well the Cathedral is 900 years old !! EP wore a red knee length dress with a jewelled neckline and her trademark heels and looked stunning. The audience seemed to enjoy it and EP seemed to be enjoying herself too.
The setlist was as follows:
All That Jazz
Comes Love
All Of My Life
I Only Have Eyes For You
Blue Skies
One Fine Day
Midnight
Take A Bow
I Told You So
St Louis Blues
Closest Thing To Crazy
I Get A Kick Out Of You
As Time Goes By
Cry Me A River
Grow Young

Ok, a few more details.................firstly I visited the cathedral earlier in the day as it had been many years since I had been there. The crew were just arriving and setting up the equipment for the sound check. I didnt hang around as there was to be a soundcheck/rehearsal and I didnt want to spoil the surprise for the evening. The cathedral is a beautiful old building around 900 years old with some amazing stained glass windows, tapestries and stone masonry.

The doors to the cathedral opened at 7.30pm for a 8pm start, each person attending was given a small paper brochure with a small synopsis of EP's career highlights and advertising from the sponsors of the Festival. There was no merchandise available to purchase.
At 8pm Elaine was introduced and entered the stage accompanied by her Musical Director on piano, a bass player, saxophonist, drummer and guitarist. As I have already posted the playlist you can check the songs from there.
Elaine seemed happy and realaxed and chatted with the audience about her parents living near by and how she loved the area.
The concert lasted just over an hour and was a straight run with no interval.

A standing ovation and it was all over.  A wonderful evening and a fantastic day spent with four fantastic ladies. Smiley

Thanks for the details, Mandy.  Smiley

I was surprised to read that the concert latest just over an hour. Knowing that I´m not too sad that I couldn´t come.

Was Mr. Sax there?
