There is also a beer & wine festival as part of the whole weekend and I know the guy who is organising that so I will need to keep a close eye on a certain person, and we are his guest for the festival, how cool is that? Cheesy

Yes, there are trains. I'm staying in Chichester so will be taking a train there directly from Gatwick, but there are trains from Victoria st pretty frequently.
