Elaine on great form last night and fantastic to hear her singing some stuff she's not performed in concert for years. Highlights for me were Nobody's Side (my favourite EP track), Blue Skies, One Fine Day, It's Only Life and I thought As If We Never Said Goodbye was amazing last night.
On last nights performance of I'm Still Here I am sorely tempted to book tickets to Washington just to see her........I will have to think about it!
I'd forgotten what a rich voice Elaine has when she is not singing the big 'power' numbers, I loved Close to Crazy and Mi Morena live.
Probably the best I've seen her for a while and a good feel to the concert - she looked like she was enjoying herself and the voice was in great form.

It was a great night - think Nobody's Side is a real highlight for everyone and it just keeps getting better and better.

Would have been good to have met you - are you going to any others?

Thanks for your report MTA! I'm very happy to hear she sounds so good. It's amazing her voice is still so strong after all these years!  Smiley

Had a really good night last night! Was 3rd row in the central block so had a really great view!

My favourite was As If We Never Said Goodbye, really loved it. Other highlights for me were Nobody's Side, Midnight, Blue Skies, I'm Still Here and of course Memory and With One Look. Also really enjoyed the Duet in act two with the other girl, although I thought she was very weak, especially in her solo song "You'll Never Walk Alone", quite awkward to watch actually.

There were some songs I didn't like her singing as much, namely Take a Bow, All that Jazz and One Fine Day. Didn't work for me.

If anyone can sell a song on her expressions though, it is Elaine Paige!

I agree, fabulous concert, totally loved "closest thing to crazy" and am amazed that Elaine still has such a powerful voice.
Have to say though that I didn't really feel the jazz songs worked for me - apart from the one she said that her father had performed - she sang that with real feeling and I loved it.  But then I am not really a fan of jazz so that may colour my view.
I really enjoyed her rendition of "all that jazz" and would also love t make a flying trip to washington to see Follies...hmm, will think about that one!

I agree with Mark_E that the girl (Hemione something?) really did not perform well on her own - although she seemed really sweet and natural.  The guy performing with Elaine on the duets was excellent though.
Really enjoyed the show - if anything, even more than Eastbourne the night before (but it was affected by stressing about getting the last train home!)
There is nothing quite like a live performance  Smiley
