Well, what can I say other than yet another superb and polished performance?! EP had two guest vocalists with her and the show started with Oh What A Circus sung by Jon Robyns to lead into Argentina and Buenos Aires - EP's dress was perfect as well! So the promised Evita opening lived up to all expectations  Smiley

This is not going to be a step by step guide through theconcert - I'm sure Mandy and co will all add in as well - just a few highlights for now  Wink

Thankfully my fave song from the album, Take A Bow, featured in the first half and was just wonderful  Smiley as was Nobody's Side

Second half started with another fave, All That Jazz, sung whilst laying on the piano  Smiley followed by a short jazz set which I loved - so many memories of Cheltenham.

Piaf, Memory and Cry Me A River (another fave which had me in tears) all amazing  Smiley

More will come but my keyboard is playing up so not sure when  Roll Eyes

Clair has done a great job in offering a really succint summing up of what was a wonderful evening.  Elaine looked fantastic and, vocally, I thought she was in absolutely terrific form.

The other great thing about this new set is the blend of material, from the new stuff to some jazz (great arrangements Chris) and from the EP classics through to things like "Nobody's Side", which I don't think Elaine has sung live since her first ever UK tour in 1985.  What a great song!  It was also good to hear a taster of what D.C. "Follies" audiences will get this May/June.

I also thought the Southend audience was terrific and I hope Elaine feels she got the tour off to a fantastic start last night.

Oh, and last but not least, it is very obvious that Elaine, Chris, Nick and the rest of the team have put a great deal of hard work into this show.  Well done guys.

She certainly did Judy.  It sounded great - and will sound even better when EP has the Kennedy Center's 27-piece orchestra behind her.

Singing while on the piano! How great was that? I had a feeling, when she talked about the CD cover and how she always had wanted to lay on the piano..I had a feeling she might try that! Go for it EP!!!! Wink Cheesy

Clair and Molokov have said it all. The show was absolutely fantastic and even more special was seeing Elaine after the show on a 1-2-1. I'm glad it was cold outside as we went inside to see her. I loved the Evita opening and Nobody's Side (which I've only ever heard on the CD before). The Jazz section did bring back great memories of Cheltenham. Just realised that she didn't sing 'Amoureuse' which is one of my favourites of the new CD but if I say that I could then say she didn't sing the other hundreds of songs that I like. I was 100% happy with all the songs that she sung. Better make a move - Ipswich is in a few hours!!

Thanks for the updates! Really looking forward to London now! (Just don't think me any less an EP fan for not travelling to all the venues, as much as I would've loved to! Wink )

I can't imagine how it would be to see all the concerts..it would be great  Smiley but also time consuming and tiring. I don't think I could have done all of them if I would have gone..but I definately would have seen at least 2! (In my dreams...)   Sad

For all who saw her last night does she sing Piaf's  If You Loved Me ? That is my alla time favourite!!!
