After I got to the airport, the first thing I asked, where is the ladies room?,,,believe me after having had three cups of coffee, and a case of the nerves..I was getting a little uncomfortable,...so then I went to check-in  and I was'nt sure how long it would take,..because I was in a wheelchair, but things went fine,,they just patted me down like everyone else.so with that over, and a bite to eat,,,I found my boarding gate, and just waited for my plan to board, and as I was waiting I started talking to this woman, who's name was becky.I asked her if she was going to DC as well,.. she said she was going to catch a connecting flight she told me her final destination was Asteria.[I hope I spelled that right] she said she was a singer..and they held a festivel there every year,....Then I told her I was going to DC to see a singer, and then we laughed at the concidence of that happening,,Then a storm blew up.....con'd

When the storm came in they would'nt let us board the plane until it was over, which took about 45min,then just as we were boarding I noticed this young woman, with a look of terror on her face, but someone was talking to  her and calmed her down,..So with that we took off.our flight lasted about two hours or so, I was seated by the window, and when I looked out over the fields it looked like a green blanket,,with various color of greens's, yellows and orange. And except for the storm earlier,The flight was wonderful. But when we landed.
things got a little complicated, you see because the iles between the seats were so small they had to put me in a chair that looked like a small hamache, and because
the plane landed on the tarmate and not at a terminl We all had to go down a flight of steps and walk about 30 feet to the door.So I got a little nervous going down the steps(about thirty) Even though I love to fly....I'm afraid of heights!! Embarrassed So then I went into the airport to go to my shuttle
that was going to take me to my  hotel,,but it was'nt that easy.because I had to get to the main terminal.which meant I had to get on this train,.. it was like a sub-way train. that was under the airport, and the guy told me to hold on,and this train went at mock speed, Shocked then when my teeth stopped radling,, I went to were I was supposed to get on my shuttle, but I was told it had already left.and I would have to wait about an hour and a half Undecided con't

[Listening attentively]  Thanks for sharing Sandra!  Were you at Dulles airport?  That's how we got to London.  Don't like that one myself.  Angry

finally,my shuttle showed up, and their were four other people,in the shuttle all of which were going to the same hotel,!So we all got out and got our bags and went to check in. And by this time I was getting very tired because as I said before  I had gotten up that morning very early, so the hotel clerk showed me to my room and just as  I was   putting my stuff away,I went to the bathroom but  I could'nt get though the door! the door was to small,So I told the clerk this room would'nt work,..and I needed another room.but he said their was'nt another room. or at least another single room,..So at my wits end,I told him I needed to call my friend who,.as I mentioned before
I  was meeting at the hotel,,,  And five minutes later, who should my weary eye's behold the REDNECK FLOOZY herself.! Smileyyes,Charlene came to my resque,,,So after a hug hello from she and Hope,...she got on the phone and not only did she get me a bigger room she got me a suite,,It had a kitchen,a living and dinning room it also had two TV's one in the bedroom and, the living room So after we got my stuff to my new room we talked a while, but by this time it was very late so we said our  good-nights as I closed the door to my very long day  WHEW..... Glad that it got sorted - bet the hotel didn't know what had hit them with Charlene on a mission! Also very glad you had a friend with you rather than being alone in DC, always good to be with people who care about you

Looking forward to the rest of the story when you have time  Smiley

Yes, it was good to have somone with me that I knew I could depend on,So the next day,we got up,and went down stairs to breakfast,The restaurant was wonderful, great menu, they served things such as french toast, egg's benedic, pancake's and the like. After we were finished with breakfast we went back upstairs to plan the rest of our day,but getting back upstairs posied a little problem...con'd Smiley
