I agree, it is wonderful to be able to listen to EPOS with EP back!  I usually listen to it in parts on different days.  She sounds as energetic as ever.

Fully agree with you, Judy.

I'd pay money to hear Elaine singing the telephone directory.

I tuned out to Glenn Close too - would be so wrong to make the film with her instead of EP  Roll Eyes

I know she's a good actress, but she can't sing!!!! It's a singing role for pete's sake! If they have Close do the film...I wish they wouldn't even make it!!!! Sad

If they will make it with Close playing Norma I will not buy it.

I agree again with you Judy that she can´t sing.

OMG! I honestly tried to listen to Glenn Close sing With One Look just to be open-minded. Well enough of that stuff! I just couldn't do it! She's not a singer, plain and simple. Just because she can hit the notes doesn't mean she should. Oh yuck.
There is only one Norma.

I agree with you all. Glenn Close's "singing" sounds like dogs howling.

As I have said on here before Hollywood is all about the money. Now we all know EP has the best voice but Glenn Close is the movie star with the star power.

If a movie is done it will most likely be Close.

I wish someone would do a DVD like they did of Cats with EP as Norma. That would make a great show. But for me Piaf with EP is the one I really, really want.

Don't be afraid to let them show. Your true colors are as beautiful as a rainbow my Babymine.

I love the song (the music) so much I enjoyed it even though GC can't hold a candle to EP vocally.

I'm with you both there Maria and C.

Whilst GC 'can't hold a candle' as Maria said, it's the Hollywood selling power they need for a big movie version.

HOWEVER, if they decided to do a filmed stage version -as in Cats, Jesus Chris Supersta, Joseph and the Amazing, -and most recently Love Never Dies, then EP HAS to be the best choice for the role.
