OK, so with the exceptions of Charlene and Operadiva, looks like we all have a while before seeing Elaine again so what else do people have to look forward to?
I'm seeing Bucks Fizz next month - Cheryl, Mike and Jay are back together and touring! Followed by Beverley Craven in November which I'm really looking forward to as I love her new album - it confusingly came out at the same time as Elaine's live cd! Normally no contest but it was Beverley's first album in 10 years so had both in the car for ages!

Tommy Steele three times in a week in 'Scrooge' in November!

Hoping to see Joe Longthorne somewhere along the line soon-ish too.

That's it for me at the mo!

John Barrowman in La Cage Aux Folles in October, which I'm really looking forward to!  Cheesy

And Will Young's concert in Oxford in December.  A friend bought a pair of tickets and her other half wouldn't go, so I offered!  Should be good I think  Smiley

Will Young doesn't like me! I refused to let him park where I work (he hadn't been given permission) and made him drive off, park elsewhere and walk back!

I will be seeing the following concerts:

Paul Potts in Frankfurt next Tuesday, Anna-Maria Kaufmann in Frankfurt in November and David Garrett in January 2010.

I´m very much looking forward to them all.  Smiley

I'd pay money to hear Elaine singing the telephone directory.

Elaine Paige is the very best!!

He was far from happy! Not sure if that was due to my refusal to allow him to park or to the fact that I so obviously had no idea who he was. Not that it would have mattered had I known, the only people I'd allow to park without prior permission are Elaine and any of the cast of Dallas - oh, possibly Marti Pellow  Grin

As most of you already know I am seeing ELAINE PAIGE next. Rubbing it in just a bit. But I have never seen her so you all are way ahead of me.  Clair, so you're a Dallas fan. That was my Friday night entertainment for years, just sorry they never really bumped off that dastardly mean J.R.   C

You could say I'm a fan - went to LA last October for dinner with several members of the cast followed by the BBQ at Southfork itself in the November, and I wonder why I have no money!

I don't think you're rubbing it in, I've been lucky enough to see Elaine in concert and meet Elaine several times and am very excited for you getting the chance at last. Make the most of it and really enjoy yourself - she's lovely at the stage door so don't be nervous  Smiley

Well Clair now I don't feel quite as foolish to have raided my savings to go to Australia. There are others out there who chase their dreams also. When my mother absolutely blows up at me for doing this I'll tell her about you. You however at least have a job.    C

Well folks I think that I will venture to start a new topic along this line. If you choose to post please do. Maybe advice along the way also as most of you have already had the pleasure.  It will be called My 30 day countdown to see EP in concert. As it's already the 21st in the UK where I presume Ms. Paige is this evening and alot of you, I'll go ahead with it.    C

I went to see La Cage aux Folles two weeks ago. It took me a while to get used to John Barrowman "in drag" -- he's not that feminine. But besides that, the show was really nice. Great performances!

And a couple of days later I saw Chicago at the Cambridge Theatre. Velma Kelly was a bit boring -- IMHO. But I have to admit that I really like the screen adaptation, so maybe that's why.

I took my Mum last Weekend to see Michael Ball in Concert.   I don't mind his voice he's talented and my Mum enjoyed it at least after  I forgot last time, we were meant to see him in 2007 I got tickets for my mum for Christmas and then I got the date wrong so we missed him, I was gutted for my mum  Cry

At least I didn't forget this time  Smiley

Just home from seeing Bucks Fizz and am on such a high! It was a brilliant night, the three of them were fantastic - heard some Fizz songs I'd never heard live before and just had a wonderful time. Am now trying to work out if I can get to another one - am free for the final night but very long drive so weighing it up - not like EP where I happily drove to Leeds at extremely short notice!

Will probably do it though as it was such a fun night - if any of you are near any of their dates then go it's great!
