TV would raise her profile more but would still prefer to see her on stage; that could be something to do with the fact that I don't really watch tv though  Wink

Yes more on stage - far better to see her for 'real' than on a TV screen!!

I think she should do the screenplay I've written for her. If not, would love to see her do movies, especially a romantic comedy. I bet she could do most anything. If she's on stage, that means the West End, and I'd never get to see that!

I re-read this thread and hear some of you talking about panto. What is that? Pantomime?

I agree with David and Clair, I'd love to see her back in the theatre. Smiley Maybe as Norma? Or something totally new. Doesn't really matter, anything will do  Grin

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! I HATE panto - I loathe and despise panto - it's just such an awful form of theatre (I won't say entertainment!)  Huh

Any time anyone says pantomime I think of Marcel Marceau and Red Skelton. I guess it is a true art form so to speak. But if EP is going to be on stage, I want to HEAR her, not just see her.

Seems like we may get this in the form of All About Eve if the QVC comment was a clue rather than just a wish  Wink

Thanks Claire

This really was an awful film. Elaine deserves so
much better as she proved in tv drama like "Ladykillers", "Unexplained Laughter" and "A View of Harry Clarke".

Maybe she'll get some tv offers while in NY this autumn. I would love to see her guest in something like "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" which is filmed in NY and often has Broadway theatre stars in interesting cameos.

It was stupid the little that I saw and EP looked very ordinary but I didn't think she was awful in it..script was stinky..she just played it the way it was written. I think that poor man would have enjoy a nice song or two from EP! Smiley

Oh the script was terrible and I am sure EP played it just as she was directed to! I find it amazing that such an attractive lady can then look so plain!! If the reverse is true then there is hope for me yet!! Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

I actually enjoyed the film, but that's probably because I quite like Tom Conti. Not the best vehicle for Elaine, but at the end of the day it was a part that anyone could've played, and I'm just thankful that Elaine was asked to. Smiley
