Well besides for EP... Emm Celine Dion,Sarah Brightman,Cliff Richard and Barbara Streisand come close.

I just have to say that the duet with Barbara Dickson,em Elaine carried that song.Barbara has an amazing voice.NOt as versatile as Elaine's,but what made that duet,was Elaine's vocal talent and her emotional expression of every lyric.
 
Being Piaf,killed her and playing Piaf nearly killed me*giggles*

Lyn Paul from ex NEW SEEKERS fame is such an underated talent! Yes she was part of a 70's group ( Id Like To Teach The World To Sing) and 2nd in the Eurovision Contest! She was and still is amazing in Blood Brothers. Have a look at her on You Tube especially singing Talk Amongst Yourselves! Cool

Update on September 20th.  Recently discovered, based on my known behavior, that I was actually a fan after the first performance of Follies.  All the way from the back of the balcony.  Darn. Wink

Unless you believe my husband who says I have been a fan for quite some time, just that I didn't know it yet.  Cheesy Shocked Roll Eyes Huh Cool

Sep 29th, 2011 at 12:51am   A few who have impressed me are Celine Dion and a Portuguese singer, Dulce Pontes, although I have heard only one of hers in English, i.e. "Your Love", which is lovely. I do agree with those who have singled out Kerry Ellis.  Her voice has something of the greatness of Elaine, but still not Elaine.  No one is.
