Ok, we all know Elaine's the best female performer out there but who's your favourite male performer?

To start us off mine is Howard Keel  Kiss - great actor, amazing voice, incredibly gorgeous and handsome and one of the nicest men I ever met, what more could you ask of a man?!

I was lucky enough to meet him several times and he was a true gentleman, very charming and friendly. Again he was always happy to sign programmes etc and have photos taken. I had a lovely chat with his wife Judy last year and she said just how much he appreciated his fans. Just wish he were still here but his musical legacy will live forever  Smiley Smiley

Mine is Tommy Körberg Smiley A voice made in heaven, and a very charming man too in my opinion! But who exactly is Elaine's favourite? I've heard her mention several different ones, but then I don't listen to her radio show that often,it is a great show though, but I'm primarily a fan of her as a performer Smiley

What a difficult question there are so many Great singers/ performers.   Wink

My female top 3 would have to be Elaine , Dinah Washington and Dolly Parton. Male top 3  Michael Jackson ,Tommy Körberg, and Josh Groban .

Did my heart understand what my head didn´t want to know....

My favourite male singer is the wonderful Cliff Richard.
Some years back I had the pleasure to meet him and I shall always treasure these moments.  Kiss

He has a fantastic voice and his concerts are really worth the ticket price as he always puts up an amazing 3 hour show.

Beside all that he is a real gentleman and always nice to his fans.

I also like the music of Josh Groban (a real sweetie), Barry Manilow and Paul Potts.

I'd pay money to hear Elaine singing the telephone directory.

Tommy Steele -Mr Entertainment himself! I've met him, and have corresponded with him a few times.

Michael Crawford -THE Phantom. His voice is fantastic as it has matured. His later albums are absolutely glorious, and the arrangements he uses are brilliant.

Max Bygraves -Nobody can compare really to Max can they? Over 25 'Singalong' albums in a career spanning over 70 years. Absolutely fantastic British entertainer.

Joe Longthorne -Cabaret artiste cum legend, often found on the end of Blackpool's North Pier. Just wonderful, voice is pure gold, and the battles he has overcome are a blessing.

We of course have our other Musical Theatre favourites John Barrowman and Michael Ball. Paul Nicholas irks me to hell and back, so the less said about him, the better!

Clair:Howard Keel's LP 'And I Love You So' is a favourite of mine!!

Tugger: Not overly fond of Cliff. I have a customary few of his albums in the collection, although I do absolutely *adore* Heathcliff. I have the DVD (my own transfer) and both CD versions of it. Cliff as Heathcliff is truly brilliant.

That's about it for now kidlets! If I think of anybody else to add that hasn't already been mentioned, then I will do! Cheesy

Seb.

operathephantom: Sorry, but Tommy Steele doesn´t do anything for me. I did not even know that he is still around.

I also adore "Heathcliff" very much and have seen it 10 times during its run.

Oh, Tommy certainly is still around!

2 years ago he completed a succssful run as 'Doctor Dolittle' in the UK, and the years prior to that he did 'Scrooge' on tour and at a stint at the London Palladium -making him the star to have appeared there more times than any other.

This November/December he is donning his Christmas robes again and taking to the stage as Scrooge once more. Not bad for a 72 year old!

Heathcliff is brilliant, and I'm so jealous you got to see it that many times! -Shame I was only 4 though when it was released! Cheesy

I'm seeing Paul Nicholas in Yeoman of the Guard on Tuesday with some friends so looking forward to that! He was very good in So Jest End earlier in the year as well

Looking forward to seeing Marti Pellow tonight at Hyde Park - whichever genius decided on Marti and Elaine in the same concert gets my vote of thanks

Have to say neither Cliff nor Tommy Steele rate with me - sorry guys but just not my style

Favorite male singer..... Michael Ball. I LOVE when Ms Paige and him sing together! I've seen him once after his Radio 2 programme, but I've never talked to him.

I also like Michael Ball who is always very nice to his fans.

In March I was lucky enough to meet him after "Hairspray"
and he was very nice. I even had my photo taken with him.  Smiley

His fans always get a pre-booking peroid for his concerts. This is something I wish Elaine would do for her fans in the future.
