Elaine Paige was enthusiastically and unanimously re-elected as President of the Dan Maskell Tennis Trust by the Trustees at their November meeting.
Elaine’s first 3-year term of office ends officially on 31st December. However she will continue to support the charity, which raises funds to help disabled tennis players, for a second term.
The Dan Maskell Tennis Trust supports disabled people who play tennis, particularly those individuals and groups starting out in the game. The success of the Paralympics in London this year has had an immediate effect in attracting new players to wheelchair tennis.
Chairman Sue Wolstenholme, OBE, commented “Elaine has been the most wonderful supporter of the Trust and comes to as many meetings and events as she can. Everyone associated with the Trust is delighted that she will remain as our President and we look forward to working with Elaine over the next 3 years”.
Elaine Paige, OBE said “I am really thrilled to be President of this worthwhile charity. I love tennis and will do whatever I can to help raise the profile of the Trust in supporting people with disabilities who want to play the game”.
